For a newborn, under-garments are a big deal. Between the camisole and t-shirts, there are so many options, and so much that can get confusing. One thing to consider is the fabric. Cotton is the most common.

How Many Baby Clothes Do I Need In Each Size?

For a baby that’s small for its age, one-piece and multi-piece diapers would be enough and provide good coverage. For a larger baby, a waist nipper, a bib, or both are needed to help keep the baby clean and support his or her growth.

 

You should have at least 3-4 pairs of small and extra-small diapers and as many as 6-7 pairs of medium diapers.

You should also have at least 10-15 newborn-sized clothes and 5-6 large clothes, and as many as 4-6 extra-large clothes for the big kids or the special needs kiddos. 

You may also need more than one outfit for the days when you’re playing sports, riding bikes, riding horses, or working out: a T-shirt, shorts, and maybe sneakers.
